Alzu-Tour De Farm race

Alzu- Tour De Farm- 40km cycle

My first cycling race.

Alzu Tour De Farm is a cycling event where you cycle your chosen distance on the farms. Elrika and I decided we were going to start training together for the 40km cycle at Alzu and ride it together.

I was a bit nervous on how it was going to go but overall it was an awesome experience. The first 10km of the ride were quite rough my heart rate stayed at about 200 for that bit and it was just the beginning. it was quite funny Elrika eventually said “Madison just go I can’t keep up with this” so we were both really feeling it haha. But after that, the route got a bit easier and our legs were warmed up so we started to enjoy it a lot more. I really enjoyed the water points, they  was music playing, people giving us water, juice, bar ones, energy bars, fruit snacks etc… The ride felt like a roller coaster of emotions though some parts were fun and easy, other parts we were in pain and our muscles were hurting, other parts we were riding in sand and against the wind which made it quite difficult.

But at the end of it, it felt amaizng to have done my first race and it was aweosme to  do it with Elrika. As we were approaching the finish line there were rhinos and buffola on the other side of the fence which was quite cool! Elrika and I completed the race in 02:16:05! including breaks! i think we surpised everyone and oursleves!

Next year were definelty aiming to to the 70km!

MiTestimony.

Before I came to MiXchange, for the last 6 months before I had been dealing with debilitating anxiety and depression as an after effect of covid. I had been dealing with chronic pressure on my uterus every month which caused me to have the worst pain ever making me pass out, throw up, get nauseous and it would make my legs go numb making me bedridden the first few days every month. My life had hit a downward spiral and all this sickness that was plaguing me in my mind and body caused me to want to end my life as it all felt unbearable and like it was never going to end. Because of this the only person I could turn to for help was God now, because my treatments and medications weren’t helping much. My dad began to pray with me every night and share the word with me. I started to trust God that He would get me through this and I would pray day and night and eventually I started to listen to sermons by Kenneth E. Hagin on healing. His word gave me hope. During this period I was in matric and my prelims and finals were a huge obstacle for me that I wouldn’t of been able to get through without God. They organized for me to write my prelims and finals in 2022 since I was so sick and wasn’t capable of doing much at the time. But I decided to go through with them so I went my doctor and asked him to put me on the strongest anti depressants he had to try help my brain function. So I went onto this medication and they started to help slightly so I had 3 days before my first prelim to study and once I did my first one I just kept going. I got amazing marks, then I did my finals and there too I got amazing marks. I was overwhelmed with gratitude knowing none of it was me and that it was all in Him in me getting those results. By the end of this things we’re a bit better mentality but still quite bad. My parents described me as a zombie. And I remember this so clearly I was walking in the garden and I cried to God “God it doesn’t feel like my life has any purpose. I don’t feel like living anymore. I don’t know what I want to study, how do I even make such a big decision on what to study and do for the rest of my life now? This is all to much God, please guide me on what to do or show me what my purpose is.” So now I’m still pressing into God as best I know how, I was hungry for healing, I was hungry for my life to be good again. Two weeks later my dad mentions MiXchange to me and was telling me how it’s changed these young people’s lives. So I just say “yeah that sounds awesome, could you get me some more information on it?”. So he tells me that Ps Christi will call me at 6pm that night. So I’m like cool I’m just getting some information, it’s nothing serious you know. So Ps Christi calls me and she starts telling me about MiXchange and it sounds like everything I have been searching and asking God for. I didn’t know it at the time but Holy Spirit touched me and I started to cry and I just said this sounds so right but I would have to leave a lot behind, you know. So Ps Christi said I should come through and check it out. Once the phone call ended I went and sat on my parents’ bed and said “guys I think I have to move to Witbank. We have to go there this weekend to see what MiXchange was all about and if I was going to join.” So that phone call was on the Monday, we come to Witbank on the Sunday for a meeting with Ps Christi. And In that meeting it was an immediate yes and asked when do I come? Ps Christi tells me I have to move to Witbank the coming Saturday. It was a massive decision but it was right, so I came. At the time I also had 3 modelling opportunities in front of me and I had chosen one and signed a 2 year contract. I just had a feeling not to send the contract, I didn’t know it at the time but Holy Spirit was leading me not to send it in even though this had been my dream since I started modelling when I was 14. He had a way better plan for my life, He had MiXchange.

Where am I now?

Within the first week of being here all anxiety and depression fled. I started to learn Gods word and had a revelation that God wanted to heal me and that Jesus already died on cross for me to I didn’t have to live with sickness. So now comes Clarence and it’s that time of the month, the morning we were going on a hike and when we got to the hiking spot the pain started and I was feeling really dizzy and I end up needing to sit down once we stopped. Ps Christi, Brynn and Tina stayed with me. I told them what was happening and they prayed for me and the pain went away. Then when we were walking back they started to teach me the importance of my words and how I had been speaking death words over my situation and not life words. I made that change very quickly after that and that afternoon the pain got so bad I started passing out. . Brynn went to go get me ‘grandpa’ to try help the pain. As I was lying there I just started to praise the Lord and thank Him that I was healed and I said “Satan I won’t allow you to have even one of my days”. By the time Brynn got back the pain was gone. I said to him I’d keep the ‘grandpa’ for when pain came back later on but the pain never came back. There was no pain the next day or the next day. God had healed me and for the first time in years I had no pain or discomfort. I haven’t had any pain, discomfort or any issues since Clarence. God supernaturally healed me! Throughout the months there were times where anxiety came back badly but I stuck with His word that I was healed and I began the process with Holy Spirt to get off of all my medication. Every morning I’d say thank you Lord that I am free from all anxiety and depression in Jesus name and I’d take the medication. It got the point where I felt Holy Spirit was very close to releasing me to stop taking the medication. Then the healing meeting at camp meeting came and when I sat down after Ps John prayed for me. I felt Holy Spirit release me to come off of them. I haven’t been on my medication since then and I haven’t needed them either! Praise the Lord!

I have never felt so fulfilled in my whole life, living for God it is truly the best thing in the entire world. Learning His word and His ways and forming a relationship with Him has completely changed me as a person. I am not the same person I was just a few months ago. I am becoming who I truly am in Christ. He has made me healthy and whole and I am forever grateful to Him. God and Jesus are the only thing worth living for in this life. They are the only things that make life worth it. This part of my Testimony is just a few of the MANY MANYYY things God has done in my life and continue to do in my life!

Chariots Of Light- Diepsloot Outreach

Chariots Of Light- Diepsloot outreach.

God told me the name of the first person I would bring into the Kingdom!

We were on our way to Diepsloot and I was riding on the back of Oom Empies bike. As we were driving there I was just praying in the Spirit preparing myself for what was going to happen on the outreach and paving the way. As I was praying in the Spirit it came to a point where the Holy Spirit just kept saying “Lisa, Lisa, Lisa, Lisa” through me. I stopped and asked the Lord, “Lord, is this someone I’m going to meet today?” He really drew my attention to it. I didn’t get an answer but I felt as if I would just wait and see, so I continued to pray in the Spirit a bit. When we got there I was in charge of selling and getting the salvation packs to everyone. For a second satan tried to come and tell me that I was missing out because everyone was already walking up and ministering to people. But I said no Satan, I’m going to be faithful in this because it was the task given to me by authority. As I finished Tarryn and Rolene were also about to go so I asked if I could come with them. As we walked up we bumped into a guy who was already saved so we just prayed for him and his wife. Then as we started to walk up further on that road I turned around and Rolene was speaking to a young girl. We continued to walk and soon after Rolene called us over to come to talk to this girl with her. When I turned around Roelne introduced us to her and told us that her name was Lisa. I immediately knew this as the person that the Holy Spirit had told me about. I introduced myself to her. I could feel the Holy Spirit on me, I started to shake a bit and I was overflowing with joy. I was so excited I just said to her “Lisa, do you know that the Lord sent me here today for you, He told me your name on the way here!” She was so ready to receive the Lord! I asked her if she had ever asked Jesus to come and live in her heart and she said no, so I asked her if I could read her some scripture. She said yes. I read her the scriptures on the card and then I asked her if she would like to receive Jesus into her heart today. She said yes! She said the prayer and as she was doing it tears were just running down her face. She allowed us to give her a big hug and we told her a bit more about the Lord and how much He loves her. We also prayed for her sister. I gave her a cross and told her to put it somewhere she would see it every day and that every time she saw it she must remember how much God loves her. This was such a huge encounter not only for Lisa and for the Lord but for me too! I praise the Lord for the way He used me! It was absolutely glorious! I was just reminded about how God truly does know us all by name and He wants every single one of His children to come into His kingdom and be in an intimate relationship with Him. He loves every single one of us and he won’t go without us. I praise the Lord for the mighty works He did on that day and I know that this is just the beginning of many many more! Lisa was the first person the Lord used me to bring into His Kingdom and He told me her name! The Lord is just awesome!

Chariots Of Light- Sabie Tour.

Chariots Of Light- Sabie Tour.

What I received from the meetings

There was quite a bit that touched me during our sessions on this trip. In our first session when Elrika, Dani and Hein, and Jeanine spoke a bit about their testimonies I became very grateful that the Lord had taken them for without them I would not be where I am today. They all add so much to my life and I love them all dearly. And in that message Brother, Bill said that it’s really not about competing with each other like in the world but rather that we now complete each other. This is so true without each other we wouldn’t be complete, God would not go without one of us. This also made me more aware of how God feels about the people that aren’t saved yet. He can’t go without one of them! He wants ALL of His children to come to Him! Another big point Ps John made in the session was that you can’t wait for a situation to come to make the decision then, you must decide what you’re going to do in that situation before it comes so that you do make the right decision at the moment. Ps John also stated that if you find people that have given everything to God you will realize that they lack nothing! And praise the Lord we are a people that are giving God our everything so we lack nothing. In the second session, the points that really stood out to me were you can’t have honor if you’re not first honest. This was big for me and reminded me that I really need to be honest with myself and with God about where I’m at so that He can help me. He can’t help me if I just pretend I’m perfect with everything. I need to run to Him and draw my strength from Him in the areas I’m struggling with. Also when Brother Bill shared that if you want all of God you have to take God to the world. I have become more aware that God has called us and desires for us to share Him with the world.Ps John went on to share that Brother Bill told him that he says to the Lord every morning “Lord send me to someone or someone to me today” and that he now is taking that and saying that to the Lord every day. So yes I too take that for myself and I believe that it is going to change everything and that the Lord will begin to use me to bring others to Him, to heal people, and to bring hope to the world! Praise the Lord!

Footsteps To Destiny: Ivory tour 2022

Footsteps To Destiny - Ivory Tour

One of the funniest moments on the trip.

One of the funniest moments in the trip was after we stopped at Harries pancakes in Graskop Lou gave all of us a piece of biltong. He told us to taste it and guess what meat it was. We all started to try to guess what it was. I thought it was chicken biltong. Caitlin, Louis, and Thandeka on the other hand were not enjoying it, Caitlin ate a small piece and wouldn’t proceed until Lou told us what it was. Eventually, he told us that it was actually a crocodile biltong! I think Lou and I were the only ones that enjoyed it. Caitlin bought wine gums to get rid of her taste, she really didn’t enjoy it…haha.

Encountering God through the stars

On the first night of the trip, I asked God to see shooting stars on this trip. It was the 20 August 2022 around 9 pm in Punda Maria. I had just finished preparing lunch for the next day with my food team and I got all my stuff to go shower. As I was walking to go shower I looked up at the stars and thought that they were beautiful. I looked down again and stepped a few steps and then the Lord said to me you can have an encounter with me now, stop and look up. I was wondering if this encounter is going to be me hearing God’s voice in an audible way because that’s one of the things I was believing Him for. But as soon as I obeyed, stopped, and looked up, a shooting star went! The Lord gave me my personal shooting star. He is so personal and loving. But before we came onto the trip I had said to the Lord I know you love me but show me that you love and I told Him I wanted to have an encounter with Him that would make Him more real to me. I truly felt the Love of God through this and it has definitely made Him more real to me, this is something I’ll never forget.
